The Alentejo coast is wild and spectacular and home to some of the best beaches in Portugal. Extensive sandy beaches at Vila Nova de Milfontes, beautiful natural landscapes at Praia da Amália and towering rocks at Ponta do Cavaleiro. The Alentejo region above the popular Algarve is by no means to be underestimated and is always worth a trip.
